What happens

Leroy Gildersleeve gets a pet pig named Tiger, and his uncle Gildersleeve, a small-town lawyer and pillar of the community, finds himself in trouble when a neighbor complains that keeping livestock breaks the town's zoning restrictions. The pig has become a favorite of the children, Leroy and Marjorie, so Gildersleeve sets out to save Tiger by winning over the neighbors and officials who could help him. He visits Leela Ransom to request a sworn statement that the pig is no nuisance, but she is unmoved by his charm. He then faces the zoning commission, whose chairman is the judge he has been arguing with. The episode is a comedy of domestic embarrassment in the Summerfield household, broadcast on NBC in 1945 with Harold Peary as Gildersleeve.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
