What happens

Gildersleeve, a bachelor, is juggling two girlfriends, Gloria McKinley and Paula Winthrop, and believes he is a skilled ladies' man. After he finds a pair of ladies' gloves in his car, he tries to return them to both women, but neither will claim them, and both become upset with him. His nephew Leroy watches and offers advice while Auntie Birdie and the household staff look on. Gildersleeve begins to suspect that the women are jealous of his popularity, and he sets out to win them back.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
