What happens
Gildersleeve and the Jolly Boys plan a sleigh ride after a fresh snowfall in Summerfield, and Gildersleeve invites Eve Fenwick to join them. Their plans change when they learn that Judge Hooker is seriously ill. The men argue over the details of the ill judge's condition and what they should do about the ride. In the end, they decide to postpone the outing and send flowers. The Great Gildersleeve is a radio comedy from NBC, first broadcast on January 15, 1947, starring Harold Peary.

Listen for: Listen for the Jolly Boys' arguments over the judge's condition and their decision on the sleigh ride.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
