What happens

Gildersleeve plans a New Year's Eve hayride after being left off the guest list for the Bullards' party across the street. He recruits Leroy and Judge Hooker, and borrows a horse and sleigh for the evening. Meanwhile his niece Marjorie and her fiance Bronco are heading to the Bullards' house, and Gildersleeve's household is torn over which party to attend. Gildersleeve's plans for the evening begin to take shape as the guests gather.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
