What happens

Marjorie Forrest's uncle, the Great Gildersleeve, objects when she wants to go to a college victory dance at Grass Lake with Bronco, a student council president with a reckless driving reputation. Gildersleeve, who has never let her go out before, then proposes a double date instead, taking the trained nurse Catherine Milford along to chaperone the group. Bronco's car and driving draw the uncle's attention as the party sets out for the dance. The series, original NBC broadcast of October 5, 1949, stars Harold Peary.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
