What happens
Gildersleeve is pleased that his household and his niece Marjorie's household get along so well next door. When he reads about an electric paint sprayer in a hardware circular, he decides Bronco and Marjorie should share one with him. He pushes the idea on Bronco, who reluctantly agrees to buy it jointly, and the gun passes between the households and a shop. The Great Gildersleeve, starring Harold Peary, aired on NBC on July 15, 1953, and the lead actors listed here are Harold Peary, Willard Waterman, Lillian Randolph and Lurene Tuttle. The episode is largely built around a sprayer that keeps changing hands, with Gildersleeve's eagerness to keep the peace causing trouble.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
