What happens

Fred Allen hosts another evening of the Town Hall Tonight variety program, which runs as a weekly comedy show on the radio. The broadcast moves through a series of comic sketches, including a mock courtroom trial in which an overeager radio announcer and photographers interrupt a murder case, and a bulletin on a proposed New York City law banning broadcasts and photographs in court. Allen's guest, daredevil stunt driver Lucky Teeter, describes his career of rolling cars and his many injuries. Musical numbers, sponsor messages and jokes are interspersed between the segments. The transcript ends partway through the broadcast, while the dialogue between Fred Allen and Portland Hoffa is still under way.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
