What happens
Fred Allen hosts his radio program, with guest Henry Morgan, on an evening of banter and comic sketches. Allen and Kenny Delmar trade jokes about Boston, the news of the day, and National Music Week, then Allen's neighbors, Titus Moody, Mrs. Nussbaum, and Mr. Cassidy each tell their own tale. Morgan admits to sponsor errands, including peddling Rave-Cream shampoo, and the broadcast closes on Allen trying the product while Morgan pitches it to him. The show was broadcast on May 2, 1948, on CBS and NBC, with Fred Allen, Portland Hoffa, Kenny Delmar and Minerva Pious among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
