What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly argue over the household vacuum cleaner, with Fibber insisting that men are better at mechanical work than women. The phone goes out, and a woman repairman fixes it, which irritates Fibber further. Out on errands, the McGees encounter a string of women working in jobs usually held by men, including a milkman, a paper boy, a police officer, a cigar clerk and a hardware store manager. Fibber grows increasingly alarmed by the trend, while Molly keeps her patience. The episode aired on NBC Radio on December 8, 1942, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
