What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly are told by a letter from Uncle Dennis to take the train to visit him for Thanksgiving. Fibber has no liking for his uncle, though Molly remembers him kindly from childhood. Their bags are muddled, and the second page of the letter goes missing, while neighbors Mrs. Gildersleeve and Mrs. Dupington bustle about with their own plans. Aboard the train they meet a range of passengers, including Mr. Wilcox and the boomer, and Molly chats with a girl who has an odd view of a fable. The story follows the couple from their home to the train and on toward their stop. The episode is part of the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on November 19, 1940, starring Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan.
