What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly search for Uncle Dennis, who has been missing for nine days. Police reports suggest he left a Turkish bath wearing only his shorts and carrying a walking stick, after a dog ran off with his clothes and money. Molly visits his room for clues, and McGee learns from neighbors that a relative's house was cleaned with Johnson's Wax. Molly phones Mayor LaTrivia, who talks at length about missing persons and history, and the family tries to keep their spirits up. The story is told in a light, comic manner through the household's phone calls and visitors. The Fibber McGee and Molly series aired on NBC Radio, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the cast, and this episode first aired on June 2, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
