What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly prepare for the Spring Festival Parade in Wistful Vista, where McGee has been chosen as Grand Marshal because he is the only man in town who owns a white horse. At the costumer's shop, the couple try on Western outfits and other costumes while their neighbors, Abigail Uppington and Mr. Wimple, make their own plans for the day. Harlow Wilcox mentions a Johnson's Wax float. Mayor LaTrivia struggles to describe the parade route. The episode is from the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on April 14, 1942, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
