What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly prepare their spare bedroom for a new boarder, a war worker named Al Darling, whom they have never met. Fibber brings in a pile of odd collected items and an old electric razor he has tinkered with, while Molly fusses over how the room looks. Uncle Dennis, who is often in no condition to help, is roped into moving furniture, and a Coast Guard man named LaTrivia drops by. A series of visitors and mishaps keeps the household busy as the four o'clock arrival draws near. The episode was broadcast on NBC Radio on October 5, 1943, in the Fibber McGee and Molly series, with Harold Peary and Bill Thompson in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
