What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly bet that Fibber cannot tell nothing but the truth for one hour, with a fur coat at stake. Fibber is rehearsing a George Washington speech for a fourth-grade class when the wager begins, and his honesty quickly strains his neighbors and friends. Callers arrive, including Johnny, Mrs. Uppington, Nick DiPapolis, Mr. Wilcox and Mr. Gildersleeve, and Fibber's blunt remarks cause trouble with each. Harold Peary and Bill Thompson lead the cast of this NBC Radio series, which aired on February 20, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
