What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly, from the series of the same name, first aired on NBC Radio on January 7, 1941, with Harold Peary and Bill Thompson leading the cast. Fibber and Molly withdraw a hundred-dollar bill from the bank to cover their expenses, but they find it nearly impossible to get it changed. Their search takes them through a string of neighbors and strangers, and each attempt to break the bill leads to fresh complications. Fibber's boasting and Molly's sharp remarks keep the couple at odds as the afternoon drags on, and their lost quarter becomes a running trouble. The transcript ends before the story is resolved.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
