What happens
Fibber McGee and Molly, from the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first aired on NBC Radio on February 17, 1942, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan among the lead actors. Fibber decides he is a gifted comedian and buys a home movie camera to prove it. Molly reluctantly agrees to help him make his screen test, and Fibber's stunts leave him bruised and battered. Each new scene draws in neighbors and visitors, including Mr. Wilcox, Mayor LaTravia and Abigail, who react to the mishaps. Fibber remains determined to send the finished films to Hollywood, and the household's stubborn plans keep growing more chaotic.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
