What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly find an 1877 etiquette book in their closet-cleaning spree and begin trying to follow its rules. Fibber insists that good manners still matter, while Molly teases him over the book's outdated advice. Doug arrives to take Alice out, and Fibber uses the book to fuss over how callers should be received. Harlow Wilcox visits and is put out by the formal treatment, and the household's etiquette experiments quickly become a series of awkward misunderstandings. The episode aired on NBC Radio on November 23, 1943, with Harold Peary and Bill Thompson as the leads.

The McGee house on Wistful Vista, where the couple, their niece Alice, and visitors deal with a book of etiquette.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
