What happens

Fibber McGee and Molly, on the Fibber McGee and Molly series, first broadcast on NBC Radio on March 2, 1943, with Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan among the cast. Fibber decides to surprise his wife Molly by bringing her breakfast in bed on a late morning at 79 Wistful Vista. Despite Molly's doubts, he takes over the kitchen and struggles through a series of mishaps with eggs, orange juice and waffle batter. Neighbors drop in as the mess grows, including Mr. Wilcox, who uses the moment to praise a wax product, and Mrs. Abigail Uppington, who stops by to chat. The episode is built on this kitchen confusion and the neighbors' visits.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
