What happens

On a windy spring day in Wistful Vista, Fibber McGee agrees to help Molly make a dress from a newly bought pattern, only to find the job far harder than he expected. Pattern pieces scatter when the door blows open, and Fibber's bragging leaves him stuck with the sewing while Molly relies on his supposed skill. Neighbours drop by, the cutting goes awry, and a mishap with a safety pin sends Fibber racing for a doctor. The Fibber McGee and Molly series, broadcast by NBC Radio on April 20, 1943, stars Harold Peary, Bill Thompson, Gale Gordon and Arthur Q. Bryan. The story follows Fibber's escalating troubles with the dressmaking.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
