What happens
Father Knows Best follows the Anderson family on a busy summer day at the White Frame House on Maple Street. Kathy asks her father for 39 cents for the movies, and Jim asks for money for camp supplies, while Father is in a hurry to meet Ed Lewis and a field representative from the home office at the airport. Kathy proposes a treasure hunt, and the children gather household items to bury in a tomato can and draw a map. Father's car keys end up in the can, and the family scrambles to recover them before the guests arrive.
