What happens

Jim Anderson, an insurance agent, is asked by editor Simpson to write a magazine article about how his family helps his career. A photographer arrives to take family pictures for the piece, and Simpson himself drops by unexpectedly. The episode is part of the Father Knows Best radio series and was first broadcast on January 10, 1952, with Robert Young in the lead role.

The Anderson family home at 607 Maple Street, Springfield

Characters: Jim Anderson, Margaret Anderson, Bud Anderson, Kathy Anderson, Betty Anderson, Simpson

Listen for: Jim Anderson's attempts to write his article while the family keeps interrupting him, and Simpson's visit to the house

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
