What happens
Jim Anderson, a Springfield insurance man, is trying to get home through a bitter winter night when he is stopped by neighbors and his daughter Betty with a request. Betty's sorority wants him to chaperone a sleigh ride to Cook's Crossing Lodge, and Jim agrees, insisting on doing more than is asked of him. The family sets out in the snow, with Margaret, Kathy and Bud along for the trip, while Jim's determination to be an exemplary sponsor runs into the weather, the car and his own family's teasing. The episode is from the series Father Knows Best, broadcast on January 3, 1952, and starring Robert Young as Jim Anderson.
