What happens

Jim Anderson's family argues over money and the pelican banks Kathy has been selling, after she sends away for a doll offer and gets into trouble with her father and the school principal. Betty wants a dress and Bud wants a fluorescent cap and socks, so the children each try to earn money on their own. Bud's babysitting service runs into a state licensing problem, and the household's efforts to sell and pay for things lead to more chaos. The episode is part of the Father Knows Best series, first broadcast on November 16, 1950, and the cast is credited as Robert Young in the role of Jim Anderson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
