What happens

On her father's birthday, young Kathy Anderson admits to losing fifty cents meant for a present, first blaming a made-up tale of masked gunmen and then confessing she spent it on sodas. Jim Anderson, played by Robert Young, sets out to teach her the value of telling the truth. Kathy takes his lesson to heart, and her blunt honesty soon spreads through the household, stirring up trouble for her sister Betty and for her father's plans for a poker game. The episode is part of the Father Knows Best series and aired on February 22, 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
