What happens
Captain Jan Zabados commands the submarine Seagull, a former wartime vessel now held as a tourist exhibit in a Scandinavian port. When a salvage company buys the ship for scrap, the captain persuades its agent, Mr. Andrews, to let him sail her on one last voyage. Journalist Bill Rollins joins the trip to cover the story. Andrews soon discovers that Zabados has a plan that goes well beyond a peaceful crossing, and the crew is divided over who they answer to. The episode is part of the Escape anthology series, first broadcast on September 20, 1953, with Lawrence Dobkin and Byron Kane among the cast.

Listen for: Captain Zabados's refusal to surrender the Seagull and the crew's loyalty to him
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
