What happens
Fred McAllister, a construction engineer, travels across India with Henry Rydell, a chemical engineer, to scout sites for a chemical plant. Rydell is fussy about cleanliness and has grown increasingly anxious since a leper touches his bare skin in Bombay. As they move from city to city, Rydell scrubs his arm raw and becomes convinced he has contracted the disease. McAllister tries to reassure him while he pushes ahead with the business deal. The episode is an installment of the Escape series, first broadcast on September 27, 1953, and it is based on a story by James Lee Henderson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
