What happens
Joe, Mac and Sam, three crew members from a spaceship, land on an alien planet twenty million miles from Earth, where they are to explore and wait to be picked up in forty-eight hours. The barren gray landscape seems lifeless, but they find a ruined city and encounter a young woman and her elderly father being hunted by rats. The series Escape presents this episode, first broadcast on May 17, 1953, with William Conrad as Joe, Jack Webb's colleague Mac played by Hal Conklin, and Eddie Firestone as Sam. The men begin to suspect that a long-ago war has left this world changed.
