What happens
Ginger Ted, a hard-drinking troublemaker on the Alice Islands, is repeatedly in trouble with Controller Gruter, who is pressed by the Reverend Owen Jones to deport him. After a six-month sentence on Mappa Titi, Ginger Ted returns to Baru. Miss Jones, the reverend's sister and a woman of firm principles, travels by launch to perform an operation on a headman, and on the return voyage the boat breaks down and she finds herself stranded ashore with Ginger Ted. Her fear and suspicion of him set the tense scene for the night on the island. The episode is part of the Escape series, which aired on May 10, 1953, and is narrated by Ben Wright, with Alan Reed as Ginger Ted and Jeanette Nolan as Miss Jones.
