What happens

Frank Harvey, an American explorer, returns from the Ecuadorian jungle after a tense expedition with his wife Edith, who is a wealthy patron and resents his ambitions. Their quarrels over the journey and her money reveal a strained marriage. Harvey's mission is to trade with the Jivaro people for shrunken heads, and their dealings with the tribal chief grow increasingly fraught as sundown approaches. This is the first part of Ross Murray's story from the series Escape, which aired on December 7, 1952, with Larry Thor as Frank Harvey.

Listen for: The trade negotiations with the tribal chief and the argument between Frank and Edith before sundown

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
