What happens
Jonas Love, a man who has just killed Sanford in a San Francisco saloon brawl, signs on as first mate of the whaling ship Congo Queen under Captain Thixton. Love has taken Sanford's book and chart, which describe a hidden gold cache in Panama, and he plans to use them. Aboard, he works the crew hard and tries to flush out the men who sailed with Sanford. Johnson, one of the crew, comes sneaking around Love's cabin looking for the map. Escape is a radio adventure series, and this episode aired on July 21, 1950. Bill Conrad plays Love, with John Hoyt as Sanford and John Dehner as Johnson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
