What happens
Joe Mazurkin, a broke drifter, gets a ride from a red-haired woman named Henda and her companion, who turn out to be connected to a writer named Bill Rest. Joe checks into a hotel under Rest's name and is soon caught up in trouble involving a hostile visitor and a newspaper report that makes him uneasy about his new role. The Escape series presents this episode, which first aired on March 24, 1950. The cast includes Frank Lovejoy as Joe and Marty Windsor as Henda.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
