What happens
Three members of a scientific expedition in the Andes, Professor Anton Demetrius, his secretary Leroy Haskell, and surveyor John Preston, enter a feared valley known as the Valley of the Infernal River. Their native guides Jose and Pablo report a man in a strange yellow form and green splotches appear on the rocks. Haskell falls ill after receiving gold from an Indian, and the group confronts a mysterious man who calls himself Mr. Three. The episode is an installment of the radio series Escape, first broadcast on March 31, 1950, and is adapted from a story by T.S. Fibbling. The lead actors are not named in the transcript.
