What happens
Pascal and his crime boss employer Mr. Heinemann receive a visit from Mark, Heinemann's wounded brother, who dies after pointing them toward a map and the words "when the man comes, follow him." Heinemann, who is blind, and his crew, including Brian and Daley, set out from Phoenix to search the Superstition Mountains for a legendary lost treasure, the Dutchman's mine. Their journey through the desert brings suspicion, a shooting, and a dwindling water supply, as they follow the map's markings toward a spot called the man's camp. Paul DuBov stars as Pascal in this 1949 episode of Escape, first broadcast April 9, 1949, adapted from a story by Ralph Bates.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
