What happens

Professor Leo Vinci, an archaeologist at Oxford, receives a bronze chest and a letter from his late father, Roger Vinci, containing a clay tablet written in Greek. The tablet tells of an ancient wife fleeing across the sea to Libya, a carved mountain resembling an Ethiopian's head, and a mysterious woman called She who must be obeyed. Leo and his friend Holly set out to find the place, and after a shipwreck they travel inland through swamps toward a hidden city. The episode is an adaptation of H. Rider Haggard's novel She, presented on the Escape series, which was broadcast on CBS.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
