What happens
Archie, the bartender at Duffy's Tavern, believes he can catch Whistlin' Sam, a criminal who holds up saloons on the street. When Archie is mistaken for the robber by the policeman Clancy, the tavern becomes a crowded stage for the mix-up. Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth lead this installment of the Duffy's Tavern series, which aired on May 11, 1949, on CBS, NBC Blue and NBC. Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop also appear in the cast, alongside guest star Chester Morris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
