What happens
At Duffy's Tavern, Archie helps young Morton with his homework, and the boy's schoolteacher, Miss Agatha Dimwiddie, comes to the tavern to see where the child is living. Archie and Eddie hurry to tidy the place and try to convince her that the boy is in good hands. Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth lead the cast in this 1945 episode of the Duffy's Tavern comedy series, first broadcast on November 2, 1945. The tavern's regulars, including Finnegan, are on hand as Archie tries to win the schoolteacher over.
