What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, learns that a wealthy South American mine operator, Diego D'Naro, has spent a thousand dollars in a Broadway nightclub and decides to lure him to the tavern. Archie and Finnegan try to dress the place up in a Spanish style, and Archie tracks down singer Joseita Hernandez to perform for the visiting millionaire. Her Brooklyn accent and her clashes with Miss Duffy complicate their scheme. The series is Duffy's Tavern, and this episode first aired on November 2, 1951, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
