What happens
Archie, the bartender at Duffy's Tavern, is smitten with Pamela Huntington-Smythe, a society girl he has met at a horse show, and hopes to impress her. Tony Martin, the singer, visits the tavern, and Archie talks him into impersonating his boss, Duffy, to win over Pamela's father. Archie's antics and Tony's rivalry for attention keep the evening lively. Duffy's Tavern is an old-time radio comedy series, and this episode is from March 30, 1950, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop among the cast. The story is told in its opening portion, which sets up the scheme and the characters' romantic pursuits.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
