What happens
Archie and Finnegan at Duffy's Tavern are preparing for a visit from Sir Cedric Hardwick, a celebrated British actor. Archie greets the distinguished guest, who is quick to make an impression with his polished manners. Clifton Fennigan and Eddie are also on hand, and the conversation turns to finding Sir Cedric an apartment. Archie offers him a room with a rent that Sir Cedric finds too high, and the two begin to discuss how the place might be furnished and decorated. This is the Duffy's Tavern episode from November 10, 1950, broadcast on CBS, NBC Blue and NBC, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
