What happens
Archie, the put-upon waiter at Duffy's Tavern, announces he is quitting after fifteen years of low pay and abuse from his boss, Duffy. Eddie, the bartender, and Miss Duffy try to talk him out of it, and Archie sees a chance to leave when glamorous Jinx Falkenberg comes into the tavern. Jinx is planning a trip overseas to entertain servicemen, and Archie offers to join her. The episode is part of the OTRR Duffy's Tavern Singles series, originally broadcast on June 8, 1945, on CBS, NBC Blue and NBC, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop in the lead roles.
