What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, faces losing the bar after a brawl between Callahan and Moriarity, and the bank that owns the building sends a representative to review the lease. Archie then hires the elderly actress Dame May Whitty as a hostess to keep order, and she takes the job in a flurry of brisk instructions and misunderstandings with Eddie, Finnegan and the regulars. The episode is part of the Duffy's Tavern series, originally broadcast on March 23, 1945, with Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth in the lead roles.
