What happens
Archie receives a potted plant with an unsigned card reading 'from an ardent admirer,' and he and Eddie puzzle over who sent it, considering his former girlfriend Mildred and a woman he met at a ball. Archie fusses over the plant's care, reminisces about his boyhood in the Woodcraft cadets, and learns from Kaluchi that the plant may not be what they assumed. Archie then decides to turn the tavern's backyard junk pile into a farm, with Pentagon hired to clear it. Duffy's Tavern is a radio comedy series starring Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop, and this episode first aired on March 1, 1946.
