What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, learns that his eleven-year-old nephew Morton is coming to stay with him while his family is away in the mountains. Archie has told the boy he is rich, and the boy expects a fourteen-room penthouse. Archie struggles to find a place for Morton to sleep and worries about how the tavern's rough regulars will affect him. Duffy, Finnegan and Miss Duffy offer their own ideas for looking after the boy, and Archie turns to a quiz game to keep Morton entertained. The series is Duffy's Tavern, first aired on October 19, 1951, with Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth in the lead roles.
