What happens
Cliff Lyons, a Hollywood stuntman, is preparing for a dangerous scene for director Francis Ford in 1924 near Inglewood, California. Lyons must drive a car between two passing trains and climb through a coach window before they meet. Rehearsals are timed carefully as the crew takes their places. The episode is part of the Daredevils of Hollywood series, which first aired on April 29, 1938, and presents Lyons's own experiences, including a later stagecoach stunt on location in Calabasas, California. The stuntman describes the dangers of his profession and the cost of insurance.

Listen for: The train stunt sequence, where the director and engineers arrange the timing, and Lyons's account of the stagecoach stunt gone wrong
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
