What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies over the air, opening with a riddle exchange with Miss Honey about a wet coat. He then reads Hopalong Cassidy, in which Hoppy tricks the outlaw Simon Greef's gang into a canyon where Texas Rangers surround them. Greef escapes in disguise and slips into Buckskin to rob his office safe, only to find townspeople and Hoppy waiting. The reading then moves on to Prince Valiant, where Val trains a hawk for a wager against his father the king, followed by Dagwood and Blondie, in which Dagwood's attempt to keep Mr. Dithers from asking for a raise goes awry. Other strips follow, including Roy Rogers, Flash Gordon, Uncle Remus, Dick's Adventures and Rusty Riley, each left at a cliffhanger or partway through the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
