What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies to a young listener, Little Miss Honey, from Puck the Comic Weekly. He starts with a riddle about a train, then reads the comic strips in turn. Hopalong Cassidy is caught up in a stagecoach robbery in Buckskin, with a masked outlaw called the Chameleon behind the raids. Prince Valiant and his squire Arf build a canoe after their horses drown, and Flash Gordon returns to Earth to find the planet buried in ice. Dick's Adventures follows Lewis and Clark's expedition through a flash flood. Rusty Riley and Peter are trapped in a cellar by two crooks. Dagwood and Blondie, Roy Rogers, and Uncle Remus's tale of Brer Rabbit and Brer Buzzard close the reading. Each strip ends on a cliffhanger, with the stories to be continued next week.
A radio broadcast reading the Puck the Comic Weekly funnies, moving through strips set in the Wild West, prehistoric and medieval times, Mars and a frozen Earth, early America, and rural and suburban homes.

Listen for: The Comic Weekly Man's riddle about the train, and the cliffhanger endings of each strip that promise next week's continuation.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
