What happens
The Comic Weekly Man visits a young listener, Miss Honey, and talks about a friend, Hank Sound, whose wife has just brought home a new baby girl named Lisa Dale. He then reads the comic strips from Puck the Comic Weekly aloud, beginning with Hopalong Cassidy. Hoppy is held by the Texas Rangers after being found over a dead man, and he agrees to pose as an outlaw to help the Rangers catch a mysterious criminal called the Chameleon. The reading also covers Prince Valiant and his companion Arn, stranded after a flood, who begin building a boat, along with Donald Duck, Dagwood and Blondie, Roy Rogers, Flash Gordon, Dick's Adventures and Rusty Riley. Each strip stops at a cliffhanger, with the reader promising to continue next week.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
