What happens

Hopalong Cassidy is framed for murder in the town of Buckskin after chasing a mysterious stranger into a freight company storeroom. A dead man lies by the window, and Captain Reed's men accuse Hoppy of the killing. Meanwhile, Prince Val and his companion Arf are swept away by a flood after a great tree strikes their horses, and Val must make a fire to save the injured Arf. Donald Duck and his nephews are turned away from a garage, a motel and a hotel on a night drive. Dick's adventures continue on the Lewis and Clark expedition, Rusty Riley is trapped in an abandoned house with a crook, and Dagwood and Blondie and Roy Rogers each face their own mishaps. Flash Gordon battles a sea monster. The comic strips are read aloud in order, with each story ending on a cliffhanger for the next week.

Buckskin, a western frontier town; a Scandinavian-style forest and river; a motel and hotel town; the Lewis and Clark expedition in the northwest; Lexington and the milestone farm; a logging camp; the seas of Mars.

Characters: Hopalong Cassidy, Captain Reed, Prince Val, Arf, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, Louie

Listen for: Hoppy is led out of town under guard, Captain Reed reappears alive, and the episode ends before anyone learns what the men will do to Hoppy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
