What happens
The Comic Weekly Man reads the funnies to a young listener, Miss Honey, and the program moves through several comic strips from Puck. Hopalong Cassidy tracks the gunrunner Meeker, who has armed the Indians, and ends up trapped in a cargo hold on a steamer headed for dangerous rocks. Prince Valiant fights Danish raiders as King Agar's ships are chained together and the line breaks. Donald Duck and his nephews attempt to prove Benjamin Franklin's kite experiment, and Brer Rabbit uses an honesty pill on Brer Fox. Dick and his companions with Lewis and Clark are warned by a captive trapper about their Indian hosts. The reading is interrupted at each strip's cliffhanger and promises the rest next week.
A radio broadcast of the Comic Weekly Man reading comic strips from Puck to listeners, with the strips set in the American West, Viking-age Britain, Brer Rabbit's Southern backwoods, 1804 America, a suburban home, and on Mongo.

Listen for: The reader's cliffhanger endings for each comic strip, which promise the continuation next week.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
