What happens

The Comic Weekly Man reads aloud from Puck the Comic Weekly to a young listener named Sunny. The first strip is Hopalong Cassidy, in which a telegraph man sets out to build a line through the Colorado Rockies, and a mountaineer and his dog confront him at a cliff above the Arkansas River. Later strips follow Prince Valiant, whose crew gives the sailor Arf a wooden leg as the ship reaches Britain, and Donald Duck, who buys metal patio chairs. Flash Gordon, Dagwood and Blondie, Roy Rogers, Dick's Adventures, and Rusty Rally follow. The broadcast is a light, playful children's program from the 1951 series Comic Weekly Man.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
